I hear a loud clunk (seems to be coming from the middle to the rear underneath the vehicle) every time I press (disengage) on the clutch pedal too fast or when I release (engage) it too fast. It's more predominant from reverse to 1st gear and 1st to 2nd gear but i can hear it throughout the gears.

I replicated the sound when I had the car on the lift and rotated the driveshaft back and forth. The "clunk" came from the differential. WebJan 9, 2010 · Visual underneath sled with back end up while running doesn't point to any obvious problem. Brake calliper straight with no warpage. This has all the signs of a belt issue but it does it with no belt while turning the track by hand. Also the sled has 2700 miles and is lady driven generally at a max of 30mph.
