WebDec 23, 2024 · I downloaded latest Goodix driver from Dell support and try to install and got following message, Goodix fingerprint device was not found. What shall I do now? I installed latest bios update 22.12.2024 all software and drivers up to date. WebAug 28, 2024 · There is no fingerprint sensor device found in the device manager and when I tried to install the Goodix Fingerprint Sensor drivers I was told that there was no fingerprint sensor found. I also was told of the netsh winsock reset command that would apparently fix this issue but it still persists. I also updated the bios and this did not help.

Had the same issue on my Dell XPS 9570, in device manager it said “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)”, I assumed that was the missing Fingerprint sensor. Checked that I had latest bios and enabled Software Guard Extensions, but no success.
