WebApr 16, 2003 · With a cam in the oper range of 2300-5300 rpm and headers you should be running about a 6.5. You need to take a vacuum reading (warmed up eng)first. Divide that number by 2 and that is your power valve needs...almost. For example: Your reading is 14 - divided by 2 is 7.0. Always go to the lower number, which would be a 6.5 power valve.

The less common manifold is specifically for Thunderbirds. The problem with finding TRUE 406 parts is that in general Ford FE parts are so interchangeable that past owners who are not purists may have swapped in other FE parts.
